Signing vendor contracts, forking over deposits, paying off balances, etc. - I too (many moons ago) was a bride so trust me I get it. I really do.
However, instead of focusing solely on numbers I urge you to think of your wedding photos as an 'investment' because that is exactly what it is. A little investment for your biggest, best memories.
Photos are among the few things that will outlive us and, I think that is pretty freakin' cool.
Don't you?
I am based in Boone, NC (the cutest little mountain town). To give you an idea: I am 2 hours from Asheville, 2 hours from Charlotte, and 3.5 hours from Raleigh.
If the forecast is calling for rain on the day of your session, don’t freak out. I know that is your initial reaction, but the majority of the time it is not a deal breaker. Just because there is a chance for rain doesn’t mean it always happens and because of that I try to hold out as long as possible before we make the call. In the event of heavy rain + wild storms we will 100% reschedule however, if you and your partner are totally cool with the possibility of getting a little wet and want to embrace mother nature… I’M THERE.
HELL YEAH ! While these mountains are my home base we love traveling (with and without the kiddos) throughout the year.
Bridals are completely optional however, it is a great opportunity to see how your full look comes together. It also gives you plenty of time to make changes and adjustments before the big day, if needed.
My love language will always be smaller, more intimate weddings (25-50 guests), but ya girl still loves a party so the majority of my weddings tend to be more mid-sized (100-150 guests).
While I feel confident in my ability to capture your wedding day solo, having a second shooter is always helpful. Second shooters not only give me more images to choose from, but provide a different perspective, different angles, and are able to be in a different place than me at the same time which in turn allows us to collectively capture more of those little moments.
Since my littles are still very much little and we also have a cidery to run, I only take 12-15 weddings a year. This is the sweet spot that allows me to serve my couples well while also being a present, hands on wife and mother.
My base wedding package does include a second shooter however, my elopement package does not. If you are eloping and would like to add a second shooter to your day – WE TOTALLY CAN !
20% of your package price. This applies to sessions, elopements, and weddings.
Yes. 2-3 months before your wedding day I send out a questionnaire with all the information I need from you. From there, I create your day of timeline. As we get into your wedding month, we will have a final call to walk through everything, answer any questions you may have, and make sure we are all on the same page and feeling good.
3-4 weeks for sessions, 8 weeks for elopements, 10 weeks for weddings. Don’t worry though… I send plenty of sneak peeks to hold you over until delivery day.
Nope. I am very selective and intentional in choosing only the very best images that will go into your final gallery so, rest assured you will not be ‘missing out’ on any good ones, I promise.
On average, I deliver 75-100 photos per hour spent shooting, but if there are more, just know I am not one to withhold.
I have a whole in depth guide on this. Don’t worry, I’ll send it to ya.
All sessions, elopements, and weddings will receive a private, online gallery through a secure link. You can save, share, download, and print all from your gallery. One stop shop. You will have access to your gallery for 90 days from the delivery date. I always recommend saving your photos in a minimum of 3 places. Think: USB, hard drive, computer.
Yes. You will always have the option to print your photos through me however, a print release is included in all of my packages just in case you’d rather print elsewhere. If you do decide to go this route, I am happy to send you a few of my favorite, professional print shops.
